Elders
Our elders are first and foremost shepherds (1 Peter 1:1-3) who carry the responsibility of caring for members as Christ would. See our Elder Job Description.
Cornerstone's elders are appointed by other elders (with no specified term of office) to be spiritual overseers and protectors of the flock (Acts 20:28-31). They oversee all the ministries of the church but they do not make finance decisions. Financial decisions are made by our ministry team leaders — lay people (singles or couples) — who meet once a quarter to get updates and make decisions.
